1. What is the difference between FPC RFID tags and ordinary PVC/PET tags?
FPC tags use polyimide (PI) substrate, which is thinner (0.13mm vs 0.5mm), more flexible, heat-resistant (-40°C to +85°C), and durable for harsh environments. PVC/PET tags are thicker, stiff, and not suitable for high-temperature or curved surfaces.
2. Are FPC tags waterproof?
Yes. The polyimide substrate and encapsulated antenna are moisture-resistant and waterproof, suitable for indoor/outdoor and humid environments.
3. Can I use FPC tags on metal surfaces?
Standard FPC tags work best on non-metal surfaces. We offer anti-metal FPC tags with a protective layer to reduce signal interference, enabling stable performance on metal.
4. What is the read distance?
HF/NFC: 1–3cm (standard NFC phone/reader). UHF: 1–5m (depends on reader power, antenna, and environment).
5. Can you encode the tags with custom data?
