Operation process of RFID tool management system:
(1) Tool registration: Each set of tools is equipped with an RFID label upon receipt. The detailed information of the tools, such as name, model, warehouse location, purchase date, etc., is bound to the ID of the label through an RFID card issuer, and information based records are used to replace the original manual records;
(2) Warehouse location and tool table number: Install a fixed reader/writer on each warehouse location or tool table, and bind the number of each reader/writer to the warehouse location or tool table. Each time the reader/writer reads tool information, the number of tools on the warehouse location or tool table will be updated in a timely manner in the database;
(3) Tool movement and lending: Each tool is located in a fixed area. If the tool is taken away incorrectly, the system will automatically prompt. If the tool needs to be lent, the RFID handheld terminal will be used to read the RFID information of the tool to be lent, and relevant information such as the lending time, borrowing department and personnel, borrowing purpose, etc. will be saved in the data collector and transmitted to the backend;
(4) Tool entry and exit: Confirm entry and exit by installing an RFID reader at the entrance of the warehouse. When the tool arrives at the entrance, the RFID reader reads the RFID electronic label information on the tool and feeds it back to the backend. Mark "out" or "in" in the database corresponding to the RFID electronic label and manually click on the screen to confirm the status;
(5) Tool inventory: The tool administrator can use a handheld reader to conduct regular inventory, closely read tool label information, and compare it with the backend management system. Manually check whether the variety and quantity of tools on the warehouse location and tool platform are consistent with the backend system. If there is inconsistency, the system information can be corrected on-site, and it can also prevent difficulties in finding and loss caused by tools being misplaced. This inventory method can shorten the inventory time of enterprises by 85%, greatly improve work efficiency, and also increase the inventory cycle;
(6) Tool maintenance and replacement: The tool administrator checks the label information bound to the tool to confirm whether the tool has reached the specified service life or cannot be used again. If the tool cannot be used again after reaching the specified service life, it will be scrapped. After reading the electronic label information of the device through a handheld terminal, the tool administrator enters relevant information such as the reason for scrapping, the operator, and the approver in the system, The information of the scrapped equipment will be retained in the scrapped tool archive for reference.
Tool management meets production needs; Reasonably organize the production, procurement, storage, use, and recycling of tools, continuously reduce the consumption and value of tools, and save costs and expenses. Bind tool information with RFID electronic tags for identity information through RFID card issuers. The RFID electronic tags used are readable, writable, and have a large storage capacity. Currently, handheld terminals are commonly used collection tools, characterized by long-distance, non-contact, and high recognition rate.
Advantages of RFID tool management:
Informatization: By combining modern computer network information technology with professional technology and software platforms, advanced technological means are used to achieve unified management of grassroots units, personnel, and insulation tools in various regions. This provides a simple, unified, and operable method for the "insulation tool management work" of enterprises, and timely understanding of the inspection and experimental results of tools, It provides a solid guarantee for the safety management of insulation equipment in enterprises.
Efficient: By utilizing the powerful computing and statistical functions of computers, the situation of relying on manual means to paste test certificates every month and unable to conduct analysis and statistical management has been changed, greatly saving labor costs and improving work efficiency.
Standardization: The system can help establish standardized management regulations for insulation tools and instruments. The specific processes and requirements of the work are recorded in the database through the system, and the insulation tool management work of each branch is unified according to the standard requirements. This is conducive to further standardizing the safety management of insulation tools and instruments, ensuring the time and quality of inspection and testing; Improve employee work efficiency and enhance the effectiveness of safety management.
RFID automatic identification technology management has optimized the traditional manual recording method, improved tool management level and accuracy, improved user work efficiency, and effectively prevented and reduced the probability of tool loss and theft. RFID technology simplifies the registration process for tool entry and exit, avoiding inaccurate data caused by manual management, and filling loopholes in inventory deficiencies or management negligence.
