How to achieve RFID wood management specifically?
Firstly, the worker chops down a tree, saws it into several segments, staples RFID tags at the end of each segment, and then reads each tag information through a handheld UHF RFID reader to add the log information to the inventory management system. The reader can be connected to a mobile device through Bluetooth, allowing users to input data about wood and assign a unique ID number for each log that can be connected to a label.
When the logs are sent to the factory, they are unloaded into a pile, stripped of bark, and cut into wooden boards. During the peeling stage and before cutting the board, the label can be read again. Since these labels are made of plastic, they will not cause any problems with the wood cutting equipment, so there is no need to remove the labels. Once the logs are cut into wood and stacked, the sawmill can use a new label to track each piece of wood from the drying furnace, to dry stock, and to the planer.
